Mörbisch and Rust are on located on the western side of Neusiedler lake (Neusiedlersee) in Eastern Austria. The area is popular with the Viennese as a recreation area; the landscape is a World Heritage Site.
Mörbisch is know for its operetta festival on the Lake. The stage, marked on the map, is indeed right on the lake.
Indeed Mörbisch has excellent facilities for doing just about anything on the water. The causeway you see on the map leads not only to the floating stage of the Mörbischer Seefestspiele, but to a beach and harbor with an offshore island. Zoom in to see the details of the theater.
